Sziget Festival
After two years of interruption due to the pandemic, Hungary’s most renowned festival returns in 2022! This summer, Sziget Festival welcomes visitors from all around the globe to spend an unforgettable week together on the Island of Freedom.
According to the festival’s website, there are more than 100 reasons to visit Sziget this year.
Between 10 and 15 August 2022, festival lovers can enjoy the performances of such world-famous artists as the Arctic Monkeys, Calvin Harris, Dua Lipa, Justin Bieber, Kings of Leon, Lewis Capaldi, Steve Aoki, etc.

FINA World Cup
Sports fans will have plenty of excitement to look forward to if they visit Budapest this summer. Between 18 June and 3 July 2022, the world’s best swimmers will come to Hungary within the framework of the FINA World Cup.
Visitors can follow la crème de la crème competing with each other in various disciplines such as open-water swimming, water polo, regular and high diving and artistic swimming. In regard to the venues in Budapest, the swimming tournaments will take place in the Danube Arena, diving competitions in the Széchy Swimming Pool on Margaret Island and water polo matches will be held at the Alfréd Hajós National Swimming Stadium. Following these events, the competition will continue in Debrecen, Sopron and Szeged.
