In Győr, Széchenyi István University offers a new service. Hungary’s first pizza vending machines have been installed.

In February 2022, the Bridge Student and Teacher Club at Széchenyi István University in Győr was inaugurated, renovated with EU funding. Located on the banks of the Mosoni-Danube near the Győr campus, the building quickly became popular. Concerts, programmes and the summer Bridge Garden attract many visitors. Hungary’s first pizza machine was set up there.
Since then, another vending machine has been handed over in the University’s External College in Győr. “The machines operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, meaning that, for example, anyone who is hungry at a party can quickly buy a hot meal even at night,” the expert said.

The French-made vending machine is simple to operate. The customer selects what they want on a touch screen. The vending machine then takes the right pre-cooked pizza from the refrigerated section and transfers it to the oven section. When the pizza is removed from the box, the vending machine bakes the pizza.
