Beautiful.
Tourist and locals – Love them.
Running them in our wonderful public tram system, in Budapest, occasionaly mid – week and public hoildays but certainly at week-ends are an added bonus for ALL to enjoy.
The introduction on Tram 19 – tourist information on “Tram Rails” – inovative – Fantastic.
No doubt our historic tram fleet, will increase in time, and be in MAJOR part funded by, who ever the Government of the Day – may be.
They are Budapest, Hungary – History.
They are DESERVING – to be funded by use of tax payers money.
We must not forget, our World Class Railway Museum.
Wonderful facility – and WORTHY of its recognition – of being a Historic and World Class – Railway Museum.
Railway – Tram Museums – can’t ALONE financially exist – and MUST – be included in the budget of Governments, as part of the support of Governments – in the preservation of Historic items – that played ROLES to citizens and “others” – in the developement of Public Transport, in Budapest, Hungary.
They are TREASURES of the past, and Governments – should AFFORD them, that type of RESPECT.
That’s not a tick – to Increase our taxes, but to use our taxes in a broader or greater citizens picture, and not on numbers of WASTEFUL projects, that is occuring – Wrongfully.
Why not take this wonderful idea a step further and convert some of these beautiful trams into moving restaurants? It would create even more interest and participation. A great way to see the sights of Bp at dusk, enjoying a typical Hungarian dinner and local wine while on the move.
