Hungarian opposition: “resolution on Orbán regime not based on rule of law”
The European Parliament is scheduled to pass a resolution on Thursday on Hungary’s plan designed to access funds in the EU’s Resilience and Recovery Facility and the 2021-2027 financial cycle which according to DK says “that Orbans’s regime is not founded on the rule of law”, the deputy leader of the opposition party said on Thursday.
Csaba Molnár said MEPs of the Democratic Coalition will vote in favour of the resolution.

Without EU monies, Hungary’s economy has come to the brink of collapse, Molnar told an online press conference. Prime Minister Viktor Orban “is doing everything to access the EU funds, but he would need to prove that the 12-year streak of corruption has ended and Hungary will adhere to the rule of law again”, he said.
DK has already voted against the “show measures” the government is taking to create “an illusion of the rule of law”, he said.
The only guarantee that companies and local authorities access EU funds would be for Hungary to join the European Public Prosecutor’s Office, Molnár said.

The opposition should stop and think. Their attitude and representations abroad hurt the people they were elected to serve. Anyone working against the people of Hungary does not deserve to be in the Parliament. Voters will remember.
