Energy crisis: Hungarian police officers not allowed to charge their phones
130 police buildings, including police departments, police stations, and dormitories, will close due to the soaring energy prices in Hungary. Police say they will dismiss nobody. Officers will get work in other departments or settlements.
Furthermore, the police decided to close two dormitories of their law enforcement school in Miskolc. They added both were out of use due to staff shortages, telex.hu wrote.
However, there are already restrictions in the buildings that remained open to cut back energy consumption. For example, officers cannot charge their phones, use a coffee machine or an electric kettle, Zsaruellátó, a Facebook page concerned in police issues, said based on reports from active policemen. One of the police trade unions, the Független Rendőrszakszervezet (Independent Police Trade Union), said closing police stations in small settlements might cause problems. The national police headquarters said the closures would not affect their efficiency.

Idiotic Bureaucracy – gone Crazy.
“The PROTECTION of Civilians” – of the General Public – is this NOT one of the principals why we have Police officers?
Appalling and Laughable – this ridiculous directive.
When all is said and done, opinions of the general public have had their say, support them, like them or not, a member of the Police Force – is constantly subjected to acts of behaviour and “other” – that vast millions of Hungarians – would not like in their Curriculum Vitae- duties required to perform.
