Hungary steps up cybersecurity measures
Budapest, March 11 (MTI) – Hungary has significantly strengthened its cybersecurity measures over the past six months, especially in the area of government event management and child protection, an official told MTI today.
Reka Szemerkenyi, the prime minister’s advisor on security policy, said Hungary was one of the first countries in the European Union to create an immediate connection between detectors and potential targets of cybersecurity attacks and response organisations.
Last year Hungary adopted a national strategy on cybersecurity, which is in line with the European Union’s relevant strategy, she said.
At a recent conference Hungary was among Member States assessing the EU strategy before the Commission formulated its recommendations, Szemerkenyi said.
