Post offices to reopen in Hungary in January

The Hungarian Postal Services (HPS) shut down a large number of post offices in Hungary this autumn. They said the measure was a must because of the soaring energy prices and the economic difficulties. However, they decided recently to reopen some of the closed post offices in Budapest and several other municipalities. Below you may read why.
In the opposition-led 2nd district of Budapest, one of the capital’s wealthiest quartiers, only two post offices remained after the state-owned company closed six in autumn. Two will reopen in January because the local government decided to grant the building of one office to the Hungarian Postal Services for free. Furthermore, they will pay extra money to the HPS to reopen another office. Moreover, they will establish so-called “postal points” in the 2nd district. As a result, the district will have four post offices instead of eight.
The severity or culling in the closures of Post Offices has been appalling.
Aged residents who in cases have used there posta for decades that have been closed appalling.

GROW we must – be NOT afraid as citizens to OBJECT to decisions like the closure of post offices, that lack lateral thinking – the NEEDS of a community/district life and just cause citizen agitation and angst.
Does this mean the thousands laid off from there jobs will be re-employed?
Hope it does and they lose no entitlements under there employment conditions.
