VIDEO: Georgian human smuggler hit 16 cars in Budapest while escaping
Budapest police shared a video about their chase after a Georgian human smuggler hitting 16 cars in the capital yesterday evening taken during his attempt to escape.
According to the Hungarian police, the chase started at 9 PM yesterday in Biatorbágy, a city of 13 thousand residents not far from Budapest. Officers wanted to carry out a routine inspection concerning a minivan having a Polish licence plate. However, the driver ignored the police and speeded towards Budapest.
The Georgian citizen sitting behind the steering wheel hit three cars in Budaörs and seven in Budapest on the Budakeszi and Attila streets and the Szilágyi Erzsébet promenade. The chase ended in the 1st district at 9.15 PM at the crossroads of the Attila and the Krisztina streets.

As he was forced to stop, he intentionally drove into a police car and tried to escape on foot. However, the officers caught him.
Police found 35 illegal migrants in the minivan. The people claimed they were Syrian and Moroccan citizens. Thankfully, nobody got hurt during the chase.
Police took the Georgian national into custody because of human smuggling. Furthermore, police will probably charge him with aggravated assault upon a police officer and reckless endangerment. The Budapest police headquarters will send the relevant documents to the public prosecutor, police wrote oin a statement they shared on their official website.
