Vodafone name to disappear in Hungary, new name will not be complicated
Vodafone may take over the names of its 4ig Montenegrin and Albanian mobile operators, allowing Vodafone Hungary to continue under the name “One” after the state takeover.
This is according to industry sources quoted by 444, which has also found out who owns the one.hu domain. The domain registration was amended last November, and the site was acquired by 4ig, the larger of Vodafone’s new owners.
The name One is not new to the group, which has two mobile operators under this name. One is the second largest Albanian mobile operator, One Telecommunications, which was acquired in 2022, and the other is Telenor Podgorica, a Montenegrin company that was acquired just over a year ago and renamed One last spring.
Vodafone’s acquisition is one of the largest in terms of volume in more than three decades since the regime change, details: Deal is done: the state and a private company will be the new owners of Vodafone Hungary
