VIDEO, PHOTOS: Popular Budapest pool consumed in flames
Three hundred square metres of the roof structure of a popular Budapest pool was in flames this morning.
Firefighters from Budapest and the capital’s 14th district went to extinguish the fire that broke out in Erzsébetligeti Uszoda (Erzsébetliget Pool). The mobile lab of the disaster management authority continuously assesses air quality near the facility. Thankfully, their measures did not show any danger, napi.hu wrote.
The local government wrote on its Facebook page that it did not know the reason for the fire. Péter Kovács, the mayor of the 16th district, said they would open another pool for the public.
