The ranking is based on the average total daily cost. This includes accommodation, meals and daily living costs. Airfare expenses are not included in the list, as it is highly dependent on the date of travel and your destination.

The cheapest destination in Laos. Here the average daily cost is USD 15, while you would pay USD 8 for accommodation and USD 5 for lodging. The Southeast Asian country has over 4,000 islands. It is full of attractions, programmes and cooking schools for food lovers.

Turkey and Indonesia are on the podium alongside Laos. The latter country has Bali, which often tops travel rankings.

Hungary is ranked 5th on the list. The average cost per day in Hungary is USD 70, with accommodation costing USD 33 and meals USD 17.
