Budapest downtown public transport changes again for this weekend
Thanks to some railway track maintenance work, Budapest’s so-called “party tram” will commute on a modified route this weekend. Furthermore, replacement buses will carry passengers on tram line nr 17 and HÉV line H9 (Csömör) on Saturday and Sunday.
According to index.hu, tram nr 4 and 6, the so-called party trams of Budapest, will commute between the South Buda stations and the Jászai Mari Square station. Furthermore, tram nr 17 in Buda will carry passengers between the Savoya Park and Széll Kálmán Square stations. Between the Nyugati railway station and the Széll Kálmán Square, you may use tram replacement buses. However, they will not stop at the Margaret Island station.
Meanwhile, HÉV nr 9 (Csömör) will only commute between the Örs vezér Square and Cinkota stations on Saturday and Sunday. Between Cinkota and Csömör, you may use HÉV replacement buses which will not touch Cinkota alsó and Árpádföld stations.
BKK wrote on Facebook that yesterday, 50 new MAN Lion’s City buses started to serve passengers in Budapest. They are brand new, accessible for everybody, and they have a higher-performance AC device. Below, you may check out some photos:
