It is worth spending August in Budapest, as this month, a lot of celebrations and programs await both natives and tourists. Among others, the Hungarian National Celebration is held on 20th August with fireworks.

Organ concerts in Budapest

The Szent István Basilica in Budapest welcomes those interested in organ concerts. The concerts start at 8:00 PM and last about 70 minutes, with no intermission. The material for the concert was composed by organist Miklós Teleki, who is one of Hungary’s best organists.

The program of the concert is the following:

Budapest Mineral Show

The country’s largest mineral exchange, the Budapest Mineral Show, will take place again this August between 25 and 27. More than 200 exhibitors present the treasures of the depths of the earth, minerals, rocks, fossils and ornaments and jewelry made from them. The stock exchange offers not only the opportunity to shop, but also to learn and have fun. Many of the exhibitors sell the specimens they have collected and are happy to tell you about the adventurous story of finding them.
