Horrific: Multiple cars ran over the body of a cyclist on M6 motorway
The Hungarian police shared further details about yesterday’s accident that occurred near Tolna, South Hungary.
According to their statement on their official website, a 34-year-old man lost his life, while a 22-year-old woman was taken into hospital with life-threatening injuries. The tragic event took place shortly after 15 August midnight. The man and the woman were cycling along the M6 motorway on the hard shoulder, which is strictly forbidden.
Close to the 142nd kilometre marker, they probably lost their balance and leaned towards the middle lane. Police believes that is why a car hit them. The woman fell near the outer guardrail because of the clash and the man on the inside lane. Afterwards, multiple cars ran over him. He suffered fatal injuries. The ambulance managed to save the woman’s life and determined she consumed alcohol before the bike ride. Later, she was taken to hospital.
