Despite the arrival of September, summer weather is here to stay in Hungary

Change language:
Astronomically, autumn arrived in Hungary on 1 September. But it seems hot summer weather is here to stay in Hungary, extending the beach and festival season for the following days.
According to 24.hu, the so-called Indian summer will be long and hot in Hungary this year. That follows stormy, rainy and cold July and August weeks, during which some beaches even had to close. However, the weather will make it back to us during September thanks to an extended Anticyclone zone bringing warmth from the South and baulking Western convections to rule the Carpathian Basin.
Meteorologist László Molnár said that a cold front will bring some change tomorrow, but by the end of the week, the extraordinarily warm summer temps will return. East Hungary will be the hottest today with 34-35 °C. That will probably break the historic record. In West Hungary, 27-28 °C will remain today.
