PHOTOS: Two Budapest hotels among region’s best
Condé Nast Traveler, one of the world’s most respected travel magazines, announced the winners of this year’s Readers’ Choice Awards, including two hotels in Budapest.
The Readers’ Choice Awards, founded by Condé Nast Traveler, are the longest running and most prestigious awards in the travel industry, turizmus.com reports. The awards are unique in that the reviews come from the travellers themselves. This year, more than 520,000 readers from the UK and the US completed the reviews, giving a comprehensive picture of their travels around the world.
Two Budapest hotels among the best
This year, two Budapest hotels were in the top 10:
the Aria Hotel Budapest was ranked 5th among Central and Southern European hotels, while the Anantara New York Palace Budapest Hotel was ranked 7th.
The two hotels are also included in the overall ranking, coming 14th and 26th in the “Rest of Europe” category.
The Budapest-based member of the Library Hotel Collection hotel group from New York won gold medals in the Central European competition in 2016 and 2018, a silver medal in 2017 and a fifth place in 2019. Aria Hotel was beaten in the regional ranking this year by 3 hotels in Vienna and one in Malta.

How sad – the new W hotel is a spectacular on the outside- they went for a disco no class, on the interiors. I’m surprised they didn’t add graffiti to capture whom ever. I guess it is only a short distance from the party district .
