Another terminal-connected hotel to be built at Budapest Airport – VISUAL PLANS

Change language:

A new terminal-connected hotel is to open at Liszt Ferenc International Airport, in cooperation with Budapest Airport, as part of the WING development. The new TRIBE will be built next to the ibis Styles Budapest Airport Hotel, which opened in 2018 and is located next to Terminal 2. The 8,000-square-metre resort will have 167 rooms.

It seems that now is the time of hotel development in Hungary. Following today’s report on two new hotel brands coming to Budapest and last week’s report on the opening of a hotel next to Debrecen Airport, Liszt Ferenc International Airport is now seeing a new addition to its accommodation portfolio. The new 167-room TRIBE is being built next to Terminal 2, according to the relevant statement sent to Daily News Hungary.

The airport is currently home to the 145-room ibis Styles Budapest Airport Hotel, which was opened in 2018 and is being developed by WING Plc. This will be complemented by the newer unit, which is expected to be opened in 2025. TRIBE will offer a 150-seat conference room and two meeting rooms, as well as a fitness room and skybar on the 7th, top floor.

“The ibis Styles Budapest Airport Hotel, developed by our group, has been operating at almost full capacity since its opening, with excellent guest ratings. Based on existing guest demand and the success achieved, TRIBE will arrive in 2025. This will be the brand’s second unit in Hungary, alongside the hotel in the mixed-use Liberty building that we also developed.

The existing ibis Styles and the new TRIBE will be directly connected, and the new complex will be an important milestone in the life of the airport; the development will further expand the airport infrastructure. The number of available rooms more than double and the additional high-quality services will enable the airport to meet the needs of its guests at a higher level,”

said Noah Steinberg, the President and CEO of WING.

Visual plans by WING:

“For Budapest Airport, it is of utmost importance to provide passengers with quality services. To this end, we are continuously developing the airport, in cooperation with our partners and through joint thinking. There is an increasing need to expand services and capacities in and around the airport as passenger traffic increases; we were therefore delighted to welcome the plan to build a new hotel, which fits in well with our Terminal 3 project and forms part of our Airport City development,” emphasized René Droese, Chief Development Officer for Budapest Airport. He added: “We are confident that the TRIBE will offer excellent services to both business and leisure travelers.”
