Budapest voted the second best party city in the world!

Budapest was named the second best destination in the world for nightlife by the 2023 Consumer Choice nightlife index, as reported by The Travel. The Hungarian capital was beaten only by Berlin, and the third on the podium turned out to be Bucharest.

The Consumer Choice Centre has surveyed the world’s major cities to come up with a top list of the best places to party at night. Budapest came second in the ranking, while Berlin came in first place and Bucharest in third.

In relation to the nightlife in the Hungarian capital, the ruin bars were highlighted by The Travel. As they put it, “these bars are located in abandoned buildings, featuring eclectic decor, mismatched furniture, and vibrant murals”. “From jazz clubs to retro discos, there’s something for everyone,” they add.

They also stressed that some of Budapest’s famous thermal baths are transformed into lively party venues at night. One of them is the Széchenyi Thermal Bath: their night party is called Sparty, the next of which is going to take place on 3 February – don’t miss it!
