The government “doesn’t really care about children”, Anna Donáth, the leader of the opposition Momentum Movement, told protesters gathered in front of the presidential Sándor Palace in Budapest on Saturday, adding that “for them the family is just an empty phrase”.
Donáth said society needed “strong female role models, but not like Katalin Novak,” who, she added, was resigning as head of state “but not for reasons of conscience”.
The Momentum politician said Novak “should have apologised to the children abused in Bicske”.
She also said the government only saw people as voters, adding that Prime Minister Viktor Orban also bore responsibility for the developments surrounding the case, she said.

Donath’s brain box is empty. Anna, how one woman’s erroneous judgement and mistake (Ms Novak’s) allows you to paint the whole government dirty with a stupid statement. It is the opposition (parties Anna supports in the EUP) that wants to allow pedophiles into schools, inappropriate book., etc..
There is a story that Donath and her ex-husband borrowed 500 million to build a factory in a poorer area of Hungary. Guess what, there is no factory. Where is the 500 million? Because Donath could be a swindler, that does not mean that all Hungarians are.
This woman also spend time betraying the country at the EU Parliament, that does not mean that all Hungarians are traitors.
Anna should look in the mirror and stop insulting the government because her hands are definitely dirty.
“The Von” the RUMORMONGERING if it is – of your commentary directed at Donath, if you, as is the “Culture” of the Political Party, you, from North America, place of your residency, the Fidesz Party, of which you are a FULLY paid up Member of, led by your IDOL – and present Prime Minister of Hungary – Victor Orban, if you are commenting without Fact & Truth that confirm the “claims” you publicly expose / display, you are DESERVING of Legal Action(s) against you.
If your statement / claims are of Truth & Fact, to this commentator, it is further CONFIRMATION, the deepening of decay in Hungary, subsiding into an abyss, as a country it DESCENDS.
Victor Orban continues to be exposed as NOT the answer to the FUTURE of Hungary, but returning Hungary to a Dictatorship.
Readers KNOW your favoured colour is RED.
Hungary – it’s in-ability to form an OPPOSITION – that on numerous occasions I have used this platform, to express that Hungary has to many ineffectual lost without vision(s) nor Policies that are akin to growing developing the Hungary of the FUTURE, the need of a CULLING of these “pretend” Opposition Party’s, that FACTUALLY in them being non-effective – in fact – they “Feed” into the abyss, the country of Hungary – HEADS.
In-effectuality of Opposition In democracies the non-government party is called loyal opposition. Wish this attitude was reflected in the opposition parties in the Hungarian government. Donath’ party is pro EU, anti-Hungarian sovereignty. Members in EUP from opposition parties actually support the withholding of EU funds from the country, money that would help the people. That makes those Hungarians traitors to the country.
The question why a Hungarian rep would not represent the welfare of Hungarians, the answer can be defined in one word “power”. Not only these people are power hungry, but they are also socialist. All older Hungarians know that Gyuracsi’s socialist government almost bankrupt the country.
For the first and last time, I am not a member of any Hungarian political party, although I would be proud to join FIDESZ and support a pro-Hungarian PM. However, I believe that Hungarians living in Hungary have the right to determine their future.
The opposition wants freedom of speech, something that the government is trying to restrict heavily. There maybe “stories” about opposition but there are facts about Fidesz. And facts are that matter – at least to most people but maybe not to hard core Fidesz supporters.
Being pro-EU, just like all EU countries except Hungary are, is not anti sorveighnty. Members of opposition parties support cooperation with EU which would bring wealth and prosperity instead of just basic factories and low level production outsourcing to Hungary like the current government is doing.
Momentum movement is right. Goverment is full of empty words. Katalin Novak was just the tip of the iceberg. More scandals will be revealed over time.
Ostanus, putting EU’s interest before Hungarians’ is betraying the country. No one in Hungary wants uneducated, criminal illegal aliens to fill Hungary. PM Orban’s statement that Hungary is for Hungarians should be supported by all representing the country.
In most EU countries, you are not supposed to have a headline such The 50th illegal Muslim raped another 13-year-old”. The editor of that news media would be jailed for life while the rapist would get a suspended sentence. How about the government asking tech companies in the US to censor conservatives and lying about a Russian Hoax and H. Biden’s laptop. Not only companies are asked to censure truth, e.g., COVID information that was proven correct, but they spread lies.
I can only read Hungarian new in English. There are so many articles that are not complimentary to PM Orban and the government. Your comment shows that there is free speech.
