Here is what PM Orbán did not talk about in his State of the Nation speech

Viktor Orbán has “failed to address the cardinal question: why the accomplice of a paedophile was granted a presidential pardon,” the Democratic Coalition (DK) said in a statement issued after the prime minister delivered his annual state of the nation address on Saturday.

“The prime minister would not provide an answer, he refuses to take responsibility and will not apologise to the victims,” DK said.

Jobbik-Conservatives said in a statement it was “obvious that Hungary is in the greatest political scandal and moral crisis of the past 30 years” and Orbán should have taken responsibility for “the disgrace of the pardon case”.

The Socialist Party said Orbán had “made it clear the scandal was resolved” with the resignation of the president and of the former justice minister, while “fleeing responsibility”.

The radical nationalist Mi Hazank Movement said Orbán’s speech “depicted an idyllic Hungary that is very far from reality”. “The prime minister will not take any personal responsibility for the pardon scandal that has shaken the whole country,” the party added.

Parbeszed-Greens said they regretted that “no honest reflection took place” in Orbán’s speech. “The prime minister should have made amends for this disgusting paedophile whitewashing”. In addition to President Katalin Novák, former Justice Minister Judit Varga and Reformed Bishop Zoltan Balog “he should have admitted that he is politically responsible” for the scandal, they added.

LMP said “we still do not know why Endre K. has been granted a pardon.”

The Momentum Movement said the prime minister had “not addressed the most important questions”.

OPPOSITION Party’s – should “Rip” the guts out of Orban’s – Address to the Nation.
It’s in the highest degree a gargantuan FABRICATION of Truth.
Intensify the PRESSURIZATION that Orban has bought upon him-self – personally & politically.
1980 – millions still alive “barely” today – REMEMBER what living in Hungary was LIKE then ?
2024 – there are deep society, as a country what we have been DRIVEN into – aligned characteristic’s of what those ‘Darkened” under Communistic Control and Government – commenced post 1945 – of living in Hungary.
No Freedom – No Liberty – media controlled, judiciary controlled and to Rule by Decree – when it suits.
APPALLING – was Orban standing before us delivering his National Address – that AGAIN, because it CONTAINED such avoidance relationship to TRUTH.
Hungary – it just adds on to the CV of PROVEN acts of HUMILIATION, being “played out” presented by Victor Orban – to Europe, the European Union, the United States of America, Great Britain & Northern Ireland – all country’s that are Governed under DEMOCRACY.

They can’t do it because they don’t want to. They are clearly content to draw salaries for being MPs, or, even better, MEPs, who don’t have to actually do anything. Can you remember when any opposition politician in the last decade gave an idea of how Hungary would be a better place if they were running the government? They are a cynical example of sham democracy, pretending to give voters a choice, whilst all the time hoping that they won’t actually win? How else can you expalin a coalition that embraces both neonazis, whether “reformed” or otherwise, and far-left Greens, that could not ever in a million years produce a coherent government, especially when led by such an insubstantial character as Marky-Zay, as was the case at the last election.
