What is happening? Former Hungarian President Katalin Novák’s recent photo wiped off the internet
Former President of Hungary Katalin Novák appeared at the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art on Thursday in the company of a high-ranking Spanish military officer. However, the photo shared by the institution on social media was deleted almost immediately. What could be behind this urgent removal?
Katalin Novák’s resignation
Earlier this year, the news about Katalin Novák’s resignation made a big splash. The former President of Hungary announced the news on the 10th of February, right after the paedophile scandal got out. She had granted a presidential pardon to Endre K. last April. K. was the deputy director of the Bicske children’s home. He helped the paedophile director coerce children who had confessed against him.
Months of silence
As 24.hu writes, since stepping down, Katalin Novák has remained conspicuously absent from publicity. It is quite notable that she did not even attend the inauguration of her successor, Tamás Sulyok. However, it has come to light that she has requested a three-person secretariat in the Szabad György Office Building.
Former Presidents of Hungary are entitled to the same salary as current Heads of State throughout their lifetime, currently set at HUF 5.2 million (EUR 13,437) gross per month. Furthermore, the law grants Katalin Novák free medical care, a car, and a perpetual three-person secretariat.
Unexpected public appearance
Novák appeared at the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art on Thursday in the company of a high-ranking Spanish military officer. The institution posted the following on their social media:
Yesterday, Katalin Novák, former President of Hungary, and Ignacio Rosales de Salamanca, the delegate of the Spanish Defence Delegation in Andalusia, visited us.
There were a few photos posted of the two, however, the post was deleted urgently. 24.hu has tried to contact the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art to ask why they had to take off the post. However, there has not been an answer yet.

You don’t see Orban out in public much either. Try finding a billboard with his face on it in Budapest. Are they scared? The only thing you see is Fidesz negative ads against opposition politicians.
look at Orban pic with Chinese premier !
Sounds like a private members bill needs to be proposed and passed in the house that any politician who leaves their office, their position in shame should have 3/4 of all pay & benefits pulled. That will make people think twice before any acts. Like a good carpenter, measure twice cut once. NO way should she be living the fat life in perpetuity after what she did.
