Meeting of Carpathian Basin Hungarian businesses held in Hungary
Ethnic Hungarian businesses in the Carpathian Basin contribute to the strength of Hungary’s economy, Árpád János Potápi, the state secretary in charge of policies for Hungarian communities abroad, said at the 9th meeting of Hungarian firms in neighbouring countries held in Mezőkövesd, in northern Hungary, on Friday.

The state secretary said the funds the Hungarian government helped such firms with will “reappear in the central budget as tax revenues”. Hungary benefits from a “unified business environment” emerging in the Carpathian Basin, he said.
Highlighting the meeting, Potápi said participants would “strengthen the feeling and experience of national cohesion within the private sector”.
