Budapest Airport to welcome new 4-star hotel in 2025 – PHOTOS
The TRIBE Budapest Airport Hotel, developed by WING, has reached its structural completion. This new four-star hotel, situated within walking distance from Terminal 2, is set to open in the second quarter of 2025. It will be directly connected to the ibis Styles Budapest Airport Hotel, which opened in 2018, enhancing the airport’s accommodation options for travellers.
Budapest Airport’s new 4-star hotel
Budapest’s Liszt Ferenc International Airport will soon boast another terminal-adjacent hotel, thanks to the TRIBE Budapest Airport Hotel. Featuring 167 rooms spread over 8,000 square meters, the hotel aims to cater to both business and leisure travellers. This new establishment will be the second TRIBE brand hotel in Hungary, providing an upscale alternative to the existing three-star ibis Styles hotel, Világgazdaság reports.
The TRIBE Budapest Airport Hotel is a key element in the airport’s infrastructure expansion, addressing the needs of the growing number of passengers. Its strategic location and comprehensive facilities will make it a convenient option for travellers seeking comfort and quality services. The hotel’s development marks a significant milestone for WING and the airport, reflecting the increasing importance of Hungary’s largest international airport in the country’s tourism sector.
Noah Steinberg, Chairman and CEO of WING, highlighted the company’s achievement in developing over a thousand hotel rooms domestically. He emphasised that the TRIBE Budapest Airport Hotel represents a significant addition to their portfolio, positioning WING among the leading real estate developers in the region. The new hotel’s completion underscores WING’s commitment to enhancing the hospitality landscape in Hungary.
Forecasts suggest that passenger traffic at Budapest Airport in 2024 will surpass the record levels of 2019. The new hotel’s construction supports the airport’s ability to offer quality, comfortable, and diverse services amidst growing passenger numbers. Balázs Bogáts, Deputy CEO of Commercial at Budapest Airport, stressed that the new hotel is a crucial step in maintaining high standards of service and convenience for travellers.
A range of amenities at TRIBE
The TRIBE Budapest Airport Hotel will feature a range of amenities designed to meet the needs of modern travellers. It will include a 150-person conference room, two meeting rooms, a fitness centre, a sky bar on the top floor, a spacious restaurant, a lounge, and a terrace. These facilities will cater to both business events and leisure activities, making the hotel a versatile venue for various occasions.
Sustainability is a key focus in the hotel’s design, aiming for one of the first BREEAM certifications in Hungary. The TRIBE Budapest Airport Hotel will be one of the pioneers in sustainable hospitality in the country. This certification will ensure that the hotel meets high standards of environmental performance, contributing to the overall sustainability goals of the airport and the city.
The hotel will be managed through a partnership between WING and Accor, a global hospitality leader. This collaboration will ensure that the TRIBE Budapest Airport Hotel operates to the highest standards, providing exceptional service and a memorable experience for guests. The partnership reflects a shared commitment to quality and sustainability, positioning the hotel as a premier destination for travellers in Budapest.
