Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix 2024: MÁV and Volánbusz ready for the fans
According to iho.hu, a Hungarian travel news outlet, HÉV line nr 8 will commute with increased capacities between Budapest and Gödöllő to help fans get to the Hungaroring. In the evenings, KISS double-deckers and modern Flirt trains will help people get back to the capital between 19 and 21 July.
Based on a statement of the MÁV Ltd, you may buy an F1 Travel Pass valid for all railway and bus lines operated by the MÁV-Volán Group in Pest County if you do not go to Budapest during your stay. To use public transport services in Budapest, you should buy a Pest County Pass valid for 30 days.

The arrangements are odd and difficult to understand. In other words, fans need to use the HEV that’s lacking in AC to go to the circuit, but then take a shuttle bus to Godollo station after the event. Requiring overseas visitors to familiarise themselves with two different routes is unnecessarily complicating matters and will lead to a lot of confused race-goers asking for help from staff that typically have little in the way of foreign language skills.
