Disney magic live: free shows at Budapest’s Margaret Island Fountain
A special production has arrived in Budapest, with a free Disney show every Friday and Saturday evening between 19 July and 24 August at the Margaret Island Fountain. The spectacular fountain show, complete with light and water shows, is guaranteed to be a great experience for children, while adults will be transported back to the magical world of fairytales.
Disney cartoons need little introduction, as they are some of the world’s best-known and best-loved stories. Iconic films such as Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, The Lion King and The Ice Wizard are all associated with the name. Their songs are deeply ingrained in our culture, many of us know the lyrics by heart even as adults, reminding us of the beauty of the fairy tale world. This summer, Disney is bringing audiences a special fountain show, transporting young and old alike to a world of adventure, magic and unforgettable heroes.
Following the success of the fountain show in Warsaw in 2023, this year’s Hungarian audience will be treated to a water show entitled “Disney: Summer of Stories”, the first of its kind in Hungary.
The attraction will appeal to the widest audience, using lights, projected cartoon extracts and water jets to bring to life the greatest stories from Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar. Iconic Disney songs in Hungarian will be an important part of the show, which aims to connect different generations. The 30th anniversary of the animated film “The Lion King” will be commemorated with the songs “Hakuna Matata” and “Do you already feel the heart’s voice”. After the screening, visitors to Margaret Island will be able to enjoy the soundtracks of Marvel Studio and Star Wars.
The musical fountain show “Disney: A Summer of Stories” can be seen every Friday and Saturday from 19 July to 24 August 2024, from 21:15 in the evening, free of charge, at the Musical Fountain on Margaret Island in Budapest.
