Keleti railway station’s 140th anniversary to be celebrated with special programmes
State-owned railway company MÁV is marking the 140th anniversary of the opening of Budapest’s Keleti station on Friday with a host of programmes that include film screenings and an exhibition.

Children will get to take part in a scavenger hunt, while adults will be invited to a guided tour, MÁV said on Tuesday.
Also, a short story and photo exhibition presenting the station’s history will open in the late afternoon, and visitors will get to board party-carriages.
MÁV will also hold a screening of the comedy The Stationmaster Meets His Match as well as short films produced specifically for the anniversary.

Hope criminal illegal migrants will not be invited to the celebration. The illegal aliens nearly destroyed the railway station in 2015.

As Maria said, the first thought I get when I hear “Keleti” are flashbacks to 2015, with hordes of illegal aliens marauding around the place, sorry to say, like animals.
Thank good gracious that we have a government that has saved us from more such invasions. Most other countries in Europe are not so lucky.
