New parliamentary state secretary of the PM’s Office appointed in Hungary
Former Fidesz MEP Balázs Hidvéghi will take over from Csaba Dömötör as the parliamentary state secretary of the Prime Minister’s Cabinet Office, the Government Information Centre (KTK) said on Sunday.
From October, Dömötör will work as an MEP of the Fidesz-Christian Democrats, KTK said.
Hidvéghi will take his oath of office on Monday in Parliament, where he will replace Fidesz MP Balázs Győrffy, hvg.hu writes.
The seat became vacant in July when Győrffy became a Member of the European Parliament. However, he was quickly forced to leave because of his woman-beating scandal and was replaced by Csaba Dömötör, the former cabinet secretary. He will be replaced on Tuesday by Balázs Hidvéghi, a brand-new MP.
