BREAKING: Missing American woman murdered in Budapest – UPDATED
31-year-old Mackenzie Michalski came for a holiday to Budapest but she went missing on 5 November. She did not return to her Airbnb apartment, so her friends and the Hungarian police started searching for her. Even the congressman of her electoral district in the USA wrote to secretary Blinken to conduct a more effective search with the help of the U.S. and Hungarian authorities. Tragic news about her emerged this afternoon.
According to police.hu, the police officers of Budapest’s 6th district measured multiple suspicious information about Ms Michalski’s disappearence. Therefore, they did not exclude that the American woman fell victim to a murderer.
They identified a man who was seen together with the young woman in several places in Budapest’s downtown before her disappearance. They arrested the suspect in front of his 7th district apartment.
M. L. T. is 37 years old and an Irish national.
He confessed his crime to the police and showed the place where he hid Ms Michalski’s body. The Irish national will remain in custody.
UPDATE (7.09 P.M.): the Budapest police headquarters announced in a Facebook post that they would hold a press conference sharing further details about the tragic murder on Saturday.
We offer our sincere condolences to the family and friends. May Kenzie rest in peace.
