Schwarzenegger considers Piroch a true friend and hopes to work together
Arnold Schwarzenegger, the former bodybuilding world champion who will soon celebrate his 78th birthday, greeted the legendary Hungarian stuntman Gábor Piroch in a warm video message, cigar in mouth. Piroch received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Hungarian Film Academy at the MOZ.GO – Hungarian Motion Picture Festival yesterday.
According to Schwarzenegger, if anyone deserves this award, it is Piroch, who has been dedicated to stunt work for decades. He added that Piroch was essentially responsible for making the famous Hollywood actor look good on screen in their joint films. Speaking English with his characteristic German accent, Schwarzenegger noted that his friend performed the most dangerous stunts, playing a significant role in his successes.

“I am grateful for your friendship and thankful for all the times you beat me at chess. What you have accomplished is incredible. I think of you with much affection and wish you all the best in the future.” He also expressed hope that they would work together again and ended his message with his iconic phrase, “Hasta la vista, baby.” Here is the video:
