Chemical castration may be introduced in Hungary?

Opposition Jobbik deputy leader Balázs Ander said on Monday that he had recently submitted a parliamentary resolution proposal aimed at tightening penalties for pedophile crimes and strengthening the child protection system.
Ander told a press conference that such acts must be punished as severely as possible, including the possibility of chemical castration, which reduces the rate of recidivism in such cases to a fraction of what it is now.
He called for the development of the child protection system, including improving the reporting system and ensuring that professionals are valued both morally and financially. He added that without the latter, even dedicated professionals would leave an underpaid sector.
