Hungary, Moldova sign cultural cooperation work plan
Budapest, May 18 (MTI) – Hungary and Moldova signed a cultural cooperation work plan on Wednesday.
The work plan encourages the two countries to cooperate in the fields of literature and film, among others. Cooperation in film would be promoted by organising events that would allow the two countries to get to know each other’s film industries.
The agreement was signed in Budapest by Péter Hoppál, the state secretary for culture and Moldovan Culture Minister Monica Babuc.
Hoppál said Hungary considered it important to expand the plan to include cooperation in archival research, especially pertaining to documents on WW2 prisoners of war and Hungary’s failed anti-Soviet revolution of 1956.
