Hungarian Counter-Terrorism Chief listed on “Ukraine’s enemies” website

The head of Hungary’s Counter-Terrorism Centre has been added to the controversial Ukrainian website that lists individuals labelled as enemies of Ukraine.
According to reports, János Hajdu, director-general of the Counter Terrorism Centre (TEK), was placed on the database of Myrotvorets (also known as “Peacemaker”) on Friday.
The site is run by Ukrainian civil activists and has long attracted international controversy for publishing personal data of individuals it accuses of acting against Ukraine’s interests.

Accusations listed on the website
According to the entry on the website, Hajdu was included because he allegedly “participated in the kidnapping of Ukrainian citizens and the theft of state funds and specialised vehicles belonging to Ukraine,” as well as for “deliberate actions aimed at inciting hostility between nations and states.”
The page provides only limited background information about the Hungarian official. It notes that Hajdu was appointed director of TEK by government decree on 1 September 2010. Before that, he served as the head of the personal security team of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, and also held the role of security director within the governing Fidesz party, the Hungarian News Agency wrote.
