The Danube shipping season has officially begun, and MAHART PassNave is once again welcoming lovers of community cruising with a colourful line-up of programmes.

Sightseeing Danube cruises

Following last year’s success, this year’s season has also started at full speed. Alongside the classic sightseeing cruises, several scheduled and themed services resumed over the Easter weekend, already attracting significant passenger interest. MAHART PassNave is also preparing unforgettable spring experiences for families, with exciting children’s programmes planned for Children’s Day. On selected routes, children can travel free during school holidays with a Kajla passport.

Budapest–Szentendre sightseeing

The popular Budapest–Szentendre sightseeing boat service was already running close to full capacity on 15 March, signalling that travellers were eager to return on board even in early spring. The much-loved Visegrád hop-on sightseeing circular route also launched earlier than usual thanks to the early Easter, operating in the Danube Bend from 2 April as a festive surprise. In addition, the hydrofoil service has also resumed, while families had the opportunity to enjoy a special Easter-themed children’s cruise.

The popular themed cruises are also returning this year, while MAHART is introducing fresh experiences for fans of waterside leisure. The international flavours cruises once again promise a unique experience, allowing guests to discover the characteristic drinks and dishes of several nations. During the evening sailings, passengers can admire the illuminated beauty of Budapest while enjoying distinctive culinary treats such as a glass of sangria or an authentic Spanish dessert.

Views of the Parliament with a glass of Spritz

The well-loved unlimited Prosecco & Aperitivo Spritz cruise has also returned in early spring. From April, the one-hour journey departs from the pier at Batthyány Square 1, offering participants spectacular views of Parliament. Due to growing demand, the cruise is now available at three time slots per week. The experience is made even richer with an online audio guide, allowing passengers not only to relax but also to learn more about Budapest’s landmarks.
