Hungary, Slovakia get first Russian crude deliveries after months

Hungary and Slovakia took delivery of the first Russian crude through the Druzhba pipeline on Thursday, a day after shipments were resumed.
“MOL Group received crude oil at the Fényeslitke and Budkovce pumping stations earlier today,” the Hungarian oil and gas company said in an announcement posted on the website of the Budapest Stock Exchange.
“Crude oil deliveries via the Druzhba pipeline system have thus resumed to Hungary and Slovakia after a hiatus of nearly three months,” it added according to the Hungarian News Agency.
MOL Group has big refineries in both Hungary and Slovakia.
Deliveries through the Druzhba ceased on January 27. Hungary has tapped its strategic crude and motor fuel reserves to ensure supply.
MOL was informed by JSC Ukrtransnafta, which operates the Ukrainian stretch of the Druzhba, that deliveries through the pipeline had resumed on Wednesday.
