Hungarian police set off for Bulgaria
Budapest, June 3 (MTI) – A group of ten Hungarian police have left for Bulgaria to help patrol the border there with Serbia in a month-long mission and take action against any illegal migrants.
Hungarian police are now fulfilling duties to thwart illegal migration in several southern European countries, national deputy police chief János Balogh noted on Friday. This is the first time that a group has been sent to Bulgaria, he said.
Concurrently with the departure of police for Bulgaria, a unit of twenty police returned from service in Greece. For one month, they fulfilled registration tasks in cooperation with Greek colleagues near Turkey.
