LMP vows to create 450,000 jobs
Budapest, June 20 (MTI) – Opposition LMP aims to create “recession-resistant” work that enhances living standards for people in rural areas, Bernadett Szél, LMP’s interim leader, said, vowing to create 450,000 jobs.
Stimulating local economies by raising support for small and medium-sized firms would help low-skilled workers, she said in a statement, adding that multinational companies should not receive ten times the support of SMEs.
Currently half of taxpayers earn less than the living wage, Szel said. By ploughing 250 billion forints (EUR 800m) back into education and making undergraduate courses free for everyone who qualifies will help boost wages, she added.
The government’s economic policies are not working and taxpayers’ money is being misused, she insisted.
