The list of the 100 best Hungarian doctors is out
Index.hu reports that the Haszon Magazine, through a new method, compiled a list of the 100 best Hungarian doctors. The Thursday (July 7) issue of the magazine lines up the most excellent doctors of each specialization area – from ear, nose and throat specialists to gynaecologists, and gastroenterologists – chosen by the professionals.
The magazine asked specialists and directors of hospitals and institutions to find out who those who belong to the very bests of the profession are. Thus, in theory, one who reads the list would come across the names of those on top of their profession, and notably, money could not buy them the inclusion to the list.
However, the list is rather focused on the capital city: 2/3 of the best doctors seems to work in Budapest, though, 1-2 doctors of each region are included. The majority of the mentioned ones work in public hospitals but there are quite a few who only do private practice. Furthermore, it seems – based on the list – that spending part of one’s training abroad is an expectation: most of the members studied, worked or did research in the UK, Germany or Austria.
Also, the specializations show a trend: the surgical processes move towards the so-called minimally invasive processes, which encourages the least intervention possible. Yet, in Hungary only 10% of the interventions are one day long, which, compared to Scandinavia’s 50%, is quite low. This, though, depends on the organization and the financial system of the hospitals.
Below, read the names of some of the best professionals of three specialization area, the list in full is available to be read in the Haszon Magazine.
