Hungary’s parliament sends condolences over Normandy attack
[box] Budapest, July 27 (MTI) – Hungarian Parliamentary Speaker László Kövér has expressed condolences over Tuesday’s Normandy church attack in France.[/box]
The Hungarian parliament extends its sympathies to the believers and family members mourning Father Jacques Hamel, Kövér wrote in a telegram addressed to the heads of the French National Assembly and the Senate. The house speaker also wished a speedy recovery to those who were “physically and spiritually wounded” in the attack.
Hungary condemns all forms of terrorism, Kövér said, reiterating that France can count on Hungary’s help in the fight against terrorism.
In the attack, two men linked to the Islamic State terrorist group slit the throat of an elderly priest before being shot to death by police.
