Pactera To Open EUR 11m Development Centre In Hungary
Budapest, June 24 (MTI) – US IT-consulting company Pactera will open a 11 million euro development centre in Hungary, Pactera SSC Vice President Antonio Montomoli announced today.
Pactera will employ 230 people at the development centre in the first phase of the investment, Montomoli said. He added that the company was planning long-term operations in Hungary, noting that the new location will serve as a development centre for the company’s software-development, business-intelligence and data-analysis activities.
State Secretary at the Foreign Affairs Ministry and Trade Peter Szijjarto said that the government of Hungary intended to engage in long-term cooperation with Pactera, adding that it will give the company all the help it needs in order to raise the number of people employed in the second and third phases of the investment to the 800-1000 range.
Szijjarto noted that more than 80 service and development centres are currently operating in Hungary, providing 30,000 people with jobs in the country.
Montomoli said that the Hungarian Investment and Trade Agency (HITA) and the government of Hungary had given Pactera a great deal of help in planning for the new development centre. He noted Hungary’s central geographic situation in Europe and the necessary workforce as reasons for picking the country.
