A Dog that has Strolled 100 kilometers in Hungary
The dog disappeared in Békéscsaba. She was found in Szeged, the pet microchip helped her to return to her owner, szeretlekmagyarorszag.hu reports.
Buksi, the female labrador mix doggie disappeared from her owner in Békéscsaba this summer. She had been strolling the streets of Szeged-Kiskundorozsma for weeks when the police found her and asked for help from Orpheus Állatvédő Egyesület(which is an organization for animal protection).
The dog’s hair was full of fleas and ticks. The association- thanks to the pet microchip- has found Buksi’s owner so she finally got home. The cause why Buksi wandered away is not clear, the trip process also remains a mystery.
Most dogs normally will never run for an extended length in a straight line no matter how strong or fast they are. Usually they are recovered well within a two-mile circle of their home, but how far they run is just a function of how far their legs will carry them. A frightened dog can run 5 miles or more so we can see, Buksi and her owner were lucky, they have not lost each other.
