A missing 6-year-old Hungarian girl who spent the night in the forest found

The 6-year-old girl who was reported missing by police has been found.

Zora Túróczi had not been seen since Sunday afternoon, and her parents and the police were searching for her, Blikk reports.

“The Győr Police Department is conducting a wanted procedure in the case of Zora Túróczi’s disappearance. The 6-year-old child left the Kánvási farm in Pér, Hungary on 13 November 2022 at around 4 pm, and has been in an unknown place since then. The search for her is still going on with great efforts,” police said in a statement on Monday morning.

The Blikk has learned that the police and the local residents had miraculously found the little girl.

The 6-year-old girl, who disappeared from her farm in Pér yesterday and spent the night outdoors at 3 degrees Celsius, is well. Zora had a rough night as she was found with a body temperature of just 36 degrees. Yesterday she was playing with her dog in the afternoon when the dog wandered off, she went after him, then got lost in the fog. She had walked 10 kilometers and spent the night in the woods.

This morning, a paraglider involved in the search caught a glimpse of the child from above as she stood near the airport in Pér.

The Pest County Search and Rescue Service was also involved in the search for the child. We searched all night for the little girl, checking all the wells around the farm and any place where she might have had an accident. Then this morning came the wonderful news that they found her. We were very happy that this is how the story ended.

– László Balázs, head of the service, told Blikk.

The little girl’s parents are very grateful to everyone who helped to get their daughter home safe and sound.
