A West African company would buy Extreme Digital
Steinhoff International is rumoured to by Extreme Digital, one of the biggest Hungarian online retail companies. Balázs Várkonyi, one of the owners confirmed to Vs.hu that they are indeed negotiating with the company, writes index.hu.
Genesis Investments Alpha GmbH, a subsidiary company of Steinhoff International which was created to by Edigital, has turned to the Hungarian Competition Authority to receive the necessary permissions to by the company; Várkonyi had no knowledge of that.
According to a survey that was conducted during the summer, Extreme Digital has the biggest turnover among the Hungarian e-companies; their income was 23.7 billion HUF in 2014, with a 700 million HUF profit.
Steinhoff International is a retail company that is concerned with furniture manufacturing, and deals with furniture, interior accessories, electronic gadgets, clothes, and accessories. The company’s revenue has grown by 15% in the first half of 2015.
