Áder: Hungary must contribute to implementation rules of Paris Agreement
Budapest (MTI) – Once the agreement adopted at last year’s Paris Climate Conference takes effect and work on the implementation rules gets under way, Hungary “must be there at the talks”, President János Áder said on Thursday, adding that the country’s chances were good.
Speaking in an interview published by public news television M1 on Thursday night, the president thanked the parliamentary parties for their unanimous support to Hungary’s recent enactment of the Paris Agreement.
Concerning Hungary’s negotiating position, Áder referred to international analysts and said that Hungary was one of 21 countries in the world in which economic growth was coupled with higher energy efficiency and reduced emissions.
