Amazing fall vacation destinations

Not everyone gets a chance to go on vacation during the summer for various reasons, so here are some great destinations in Hungary where you can relax for a bit during the fall.

Hotel Yacht

Hotel Yacht Wellness & Business Siófok offers two packages you can choose from: “Ősszel is Balaton” (“Balaton in Autumn too”) and “Őszi vakáció” (“Autumn Vacation”). The hotel is located on the stunning coast of Lake Balaton.

The first package is available from September 1 to November 30, while the second one starts on October 22 and lasts until November 1. They both include two nights (though prolonging the stay is possible), half-board – with buffet breakfast and dinner, or a four-course dinner meal, depending on the number of people –, WiFi, unlimited use of the Wellness Centre and Sauna World – with a 25-metre pool, hot tub, saunas, and a kiddy pool –, towels, and robes. You can also bring your pet along if you wish, for an extra fee.

Kastélyhotel Sasvár Resort

This hotel, which is a castle, is suitable for a romantic getaway with your partner, or for a family vacation. They offer half-board, entrance to the wellness and fitness facilities, a visit to the Bellevue lookout, robes, indoor sports and game activities, and WiFi.

There are three wings of the hotel, each with a different theme: a Renaissance one with Biedermeier and empire-style rooms and furniture, a rendez-vous one perfect for newlyweds and couples, and a romantic one for families and solo travellers.

Their “Wonderful Autumn in the Mátra” package for a minimum of two nights is available until November 26.

Hunguest Hotel Palota

This beautiful castle-like hotel is located near a stunning lake, embraced by hills and nature. It is the perfect location for couples and families.

They also offer half-board, wellness and fitness facility usage, and WiFi, for a minimum of two nights.

Some of their suites have fireplaces and hot tubs, all of them have televisions and minibars. The wellness facility has a steam bath, sauna, hot tub, pools, and a salt chamber. The Lillafüred Adventure Park and Lillafüred Chairlifts are also quite close to the Hotel, even on foot.

For October 23, there will be a package on sale from October 22-26.

Saliris Resort Spa

Saliris Resort Spa & Conference Hotel offers their guests half-board, entrance to the wellness and fitness facilities, and WiFi, with only a one-night-stay minimum.

The resort is special because it has a salt hill, which is so rare that there are only two other ones in the world. The name of the hotel, Saliris, is a fantasy name, it means salt-rainbow, meaning the salt hill the place is known for, as well as its variety and diversity.

The rooms of the resort include televisions, telephones, WiFi, minibars, air conditioning, coffee and tea makers, robes and towels, as well as sauna blankets, and all the rooms have balconies.
