Automotive, food industry exports support Nov trade surplus
Budapest, February 2 (MTI) – Hungary’s automotive and food industries continued to support the country’s trade surplus in November, a second reading of data published by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) on Tuesday shows.
Exports of machinery and transport equipment companies reached 4.742 billion euros in November, generating a trade surplus of 978 million euros in the segment. Food, alcohol and tobacco exports reached 603 million euros, and the surplus in the segment came to 227 million.
The detailed data show the overall trade surplus reached 687 million euros in November, up slightly from 673 million in a first reading released on January 8.
