Beating the top limit in public debt again
After a significant growth from January, the public debt of Hungary has increased for the amout of 22.934 billion HUF (~76 billion EUR), napi.hu news portal reports.
According to the statistics of the Government Debt Management Agency(ÁKK), which has been published on the 21th of February, an amount of 936 billion HUF (~3 billion EUR) increase had been added to the central public debt – which gap had only been gathering from the last term of 2013 and meaning the 0.9 % part of the GDP.
The monthly exchange bond issues are the main reasons for this increasment meaning an issue of 845 billion HUF for January and 90 billion HUF for February.
Consequently, the exchange bonds cover the 28.3% of the whole debt meaning a significant role in Hungary’s deficiency.
Analysts of Napi.hu website predict that the debt of the central budget is supposed to rise to the amount of 23.392 billion HUF, not involving the debt of local governments (extra 40 billion HUF) and other state establishments (163.4 billion HUF).
