Near Rákóczi Square at 21 Bérkocsis Street hides the African Buffet and Bar. In quite an unexpected place, you can find a nice little place where you can try traditional African dishes. We have to mention that “African” is not a narrow term, but that is a good thing. Here you can get an introduction to the cuisine of various countries in Africa. Our recommendation is to ask for a plate of fufu or ugali and ask for some sauce with it. Then you can just start dipping it and the experience will be perfect.
If you ever go near Blaha Lujza Square, then do not forget to check out Kabul Bahar Restaurant at 27 Népszínház Street. From hot pockets and eating on the go to full plates of delicious authentic dishes, you can find everything. Of course, all the places on this list are operated by people who came from the countries or regions from where they bring their recipes. Not all good places are hidden somewhere in the inner city. Szeráj, for example, is located between the Nyugati Railway Station and Jászai Mari Square at 13 Szent István Boulevard. This is the best place to go for a filling Turkish meal where you will get the best grilled meat with nice lemonades and of course delicious coffee. Although the place is big, it is very frequently visited by many, but we are sure that there will always be an empty table waiting just for you!
