BKK Centre For Budapest Transport Launches Heritage Transport Services Is July As Well

​Heritage transport services will be launched this July too. The popular heritage tram and bus services of BKK and BKV will be provided during every weekend in July, along the line of Tram line nr 2, as well as between Deák Ferenc tér and Szentendre H suburban railway station, budapest.hu reports.

Saturday nostalgic bus services

Heritage bus services with the sign “C” will be provided by an articulated Ikarus 180 heritage bus from 12th July till 26th July between Deák Ferenc tér and Szentendre H suburban railway station.

Sunday nostalgic tram services

Every Sunday in July a heritage tram will be operating along the route of tram 2 between Közvágóhíd H suburban railway station and Jászai Mari tér, providing the passengers with a beautiful panoramic view on the Buda side. A more than 100-year-old steel-framed tram (of serial number 2624) will provide services on 6th July and 20th July, with the sign “J”. A 100 year old, wooden-framed yellow tram (of serial number 436) will transport the passengers on 13th July and 27th July, also with the sign “J”.

Passengers are entitled to use these heritage services with a heritage ticket. Single tickets and conurbation single tickets for adults can be bought at the price of 500 HUF, while for children 6-14 years of age a ticket costs 300 HUF.
