Body of one of the missing people from Verőce tragedy found in Danube
The body of 19-year-old Márton V. was found by the police in the Danube between Vác and Sződliget.
The body of one of the missing victims of the Verőce boat accident was returned by the Danube today, the Budapest Police Headquarters (BRFK) said on Facebook.

The body of a man was found between Vác and Sződliget, at river kilometre 1675.8 of the Danube. The BRFK has identified the deceased, 19-year-old Márton V. Four other people are still being sought.
In the post, the police wrote, “Of course, while we are searching for missing people, there is always one last ray of hope, but because of the time that has passed since the tragedy, although we do not say it, we know that we are currently struggling to recover the bodies of the victims to give back to their families. Our colleagues have therefore been searching the river non-stop every day since the accident”.
As we reported, on Saturday night, a motorboat collided with a cruise ship near Verőce. The accident resulted in the survival of one person, and the bodies of a 39-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman have been recovered.
