BREAKING: Fire at Budapest Airport, check-in hall, Skycourt evacuated
A fire broke out at Budapest’s Liszt Ferenc International Airport, reportedly originating in the Burger King restaurant, according to information provided by authorities.
According to 24.hu, there were no casualties, but the smoke cloud above the airport was shockingly large.
The communications department of Budapest Airport confirmed the necessity of a temporary evacuation of the check-in hall at terminal 2B and the gallery level of the SkyCourt.

Firefighters successfully extinguished the blaze, ensuring uninterrupted check-in processes and security checkups. They clarified that no flights had to be cancelled, though minimal delays might be anticipated.
